I passed GATE exam in previous year and I want admission in this year.
But I don't know what is effect of my score on this year.

as you know that you can carry your previous year gate marks to this year and can get admission to any college .

if you will get more marks this time then last time then you can get admission on the basis of this time marks otherwise just stick to your old marks .

But I don't know that for taking admission in this year my MARKs is preffered or my SCORE (of previous year gate result).

I know that GATE score is valid for two years,but if I take admission in next year,will it give same preference as this year??or there is any rule of preference to current year???Suppose I am getting this year any specialization in any IIT by my rank,is it possible to get that specialization in that IIT in next year????please reply,I am confused.....
