IPS is Indian Police Service. It is an Post which comes under the civil service examination.

Civil service examination is conducted by the Upsc every year. After completing this exam one can get the reputed posts like IAS/IPS/IRS/IFS etc. This exam completes under the following three stages:-


1. Preliminary.
2. Mains.
3.Interview.

The basic eligibility criteria for this exam is to have a bachelor degree in any stream from a recognised university with good percentile.

Also the appearing aspirant's age must lie in between 21 years to 32 years. The Obc aspirant's age should be lie in between 21 years to 35 years. For the SC/ST aspirant the age should be lie in between 21 years to 37 years.

This exam date is universal for all states. This is because it is conducted by the Upsc all over the India. You can check the more details of this exam at the official website of the UPSC.
