Group A posts are from All India Services like IAS, IPS, IFS and some from Central Civil Services like Indian Foreign Services, Indian Engineering Services etc. It is in case of Union Public Service Commission.
There are certain posts under state government also which comes under Group A. If you qualify in all stages of Public Service Commission, you will get job in Group A. The main work is administration and its implementation. Group A officers are gazetted officers. |
