Purvanchal Gramin Bank was established under the Government of India. The head office of the bank is located at Gorakhpur. The network of the bank is spreaded in seven districts which includes Gorakhpur, Mahrajganj, Deoria, Kushinagar, Basti, Siddharthnagar and Sant Kabir Nagar. The are around 305 branches and 4 extension counters of the bank. There are approximately 1580 employees working in the bank. The major objective behind the establishment of the bank was to enable rural masses to become self dependent.
Job Profile:
Purvanchal Gramin Bank is running a recruitment drive for the posts of Officer Scale-I Group A and Office Assistant Group B.
Eligibility:
Candidates should not be more than 26 years of age for applying for the posts of Officer Scale-I Group A and Office Assistant Group B.
Educational Qualification:
Degree from any recognised university in any discipline or its equivalent is required for applying for the posts of Officer Scale-I Group A and Office Assistant Group B.
No. of posts:
Officer Scale-I Group A: 73 posts (Gen-37, SC-15, ST-1 and OBC-20)
Office Assistant Group B: 77 posts (Gen-39, SC-16, ST-1 and OBC-21)
Pay Scale:
Officer Scale-I Group A: Consolidated salary of Rs. 10000-18240.
Office Assistant Group B: Consolidated salary of Rs. 4410-13210.
Selection Process:
The method of recruitment includes both a written test as well as a personal interview session with the selection committee. The written test for the Officer Scale-I will be held on 1 August 2010 while the written test for the Office Assistant will be held on 8 August 2010.
