NET stands for National Eligibility Test which is conducted by UGC.This exam will be happen twice time in a year.

Those candidate have completed masters degree with above 55% marks from recognized university are eligible for NET exam.Marks relaxation is provide for SC/ST candidate.

Your age should be more then 19 years and there is no age limitation for those who are applying for Lectureship but for JRF , Your age should not be more then 28 years.

General Candidates Rs.450/- Other Backward Classes (Non-creamy layer, as per the Central list of OBC available on website ) Rs.225/- SC/ST/PH/VH candidates Rs.110/-

From this year NET exam is fully based on objective type Question paper . Even paper III also objective type.There is no negative marking in any papers .

NET exam date for June session is already over so you can wait for Next notification for the exam of December 2012.The announcement will be published on UGC website.

Recently UGC announced new cut off criteria for all candidate so please see the Notification .

If you have completed your master degree with good marks then you can apply for the exam. The exam is of objective type of nature and 3 sessions would be there, 2 Sessions would be of 100 marks and 1 is of 150 marks. These are the know how of NET.

Now coming to your question then NET is as i said is a half yearly exam and the next last date for applying is not yet disclosed so it is advisable to pay a regular visit to the official site of UGC.
