I'm 37 years old now and was wandering if I could pursue a 5 year full time LLB course. I'm little confused regarding my age criteria. Am I eligible in this to join 5 years full time from any regular university? If not, than Am I eligible for same course from IGNOU via Distance mode?

LLB stands for Bachelor of Legislative law and it is 3 year duration course after bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognised University.

There is no age limit to get admission in this course.

So, you are eligible to get admission in course after qualifying in entrance examination conducted by various Universities.

In order to pursue LLB course through distance mode from IGNOU University, there is no age bar.
So, you are eligible to pursue LLB at the age of 37 years.

There is no any age bar to pursue LLB course in a regular or distance.
As per the bar council of India there will be no age limit to get admission but you have to fulfill the other eligibility criteria.

Eligibility criteria for admission in LLB course from IGNOU:

The candidate should have passed 12th with minimum 50% marks from a recognised board.

Minimum age limit: 17 years.

Maximum age limit : No limit.

Let me tell you that there is no any upper age criteria set to pursue LLB. You can pursue LLB at any age.
You can pursue it from any of the mode either regular or from distance mode. It depends on you.

IGNOU Does not offer 5 year LLB course.

YES, you can do 5 years LLB course even at the age of 37 years

5 years LLB course is for undergraduates or who have just passed class 12th.

But if you are a graduate than you can do 3 years LLB course.

Various LLB tests are:

CLAT- Common Law Entrance Test is conducted by National Law Universities for admissions to LLB courses.

LSAT- Law School Admission Test is a entrance test and many Indian university consider its score for LLB admission.
