WE are in Tamilnadu. My son DOB is 24.07.2003. He is now studying in CBSE and now entering into 9th standard. I want to know whether his age would be sufficient to write the 10 th exam during Mar 2018.

CBSE is the Central Board of Secondary Education and in order to get admitted in to 10th and to appear for the 10th CBSE board examination age limit is compulsory for appearing to 10th board examination

• Minimum age limit to get admitted to 10th CBSE is 14 years
• Maximum Age limit to get admitted to 10th CBSE board is 16 years

In order to appear for the CBSE board examination your son should have attained at least 15 years.

The minimum age required to apply for 10th standard CBSE Board examinstions is 15 years. Since, your son has completed 8th standard at the age of 13 years, by the completion of his 10th standard he will attain the age of more than 14 years. As your son has less age than required, you need to submit a medical certificate which is obtained from recognised doctor for your son be eligible to appear in 10th standard CBSE Board examinations.

If your DOB is 24/07/2003, it means you are 16 years old and candidate age should not have less than 14 years and more 16 to appear in 10th Std. It means age of student for 9th std should not have less than 13 years and should not have more than 15 years.

This age criteria is given by CBSE only, So we will suggest you to please decrease you age by 2 years to appear in 10th Std without any issue..

Yes, he is eligible according to his date of birth. He is now 14 years old and when he will appear in 10th board exams his age will be 15 which is sufficient age for 10th class student. 15 year old student can appear in 10th board exam as per CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) rules. So don't worry about that.

See, according to new guidelines of CBSE(Central Board of Secondary Education) to get admission in 10th standard a student's age must be lie between 14 to 16 years.
since your son's DOB is 24-07-2003. By the March 2018 he must be completed the age of 15 years. so, yes his age is sufficient to appear in the exam of 10th in march 2018.

I am not full filling the minimum age criteria of 14 years of cbse class tenth examination which will be taken in year 2018 just for 1 day.will there be any consideration just for 1 day

CBSE is Central Board of Secondary Examination. The CBSE held both 10th and 10+2 level board examination in all over India.

The age limitation for the candidates who are appearing for 10th level examination is minimum of 14 years as on the date of examination and a maximum of 16 years.
