Re: What is the passing marks required for NDA written test? Is the test objective or descriptive?
The NDA examination is conducted by UPSC generally twice a year.
You can apply for the exam after passing 12th board examination. 10+2 passed students in any discipline, with any percentage of marks are academically eligible for the exam. You can also apply for the exam while studying in class 12th also but your candidature remains valid only if you have the 12th passing certificate before commencement of training. Those who have done 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths. subjects, could apply for all the three wings (Army, Air Force and Navy) of defence services but others can apply for Indian Army only. The age limitation for the exam is 16.5 to 19 years at the time of commencement of training. The exact cutoff date of births to decide the eligibility as per age, is indicated in the advertisement of the examination. The question papers of the examination use to be objective type only. You can download some previous year question papers for your reference, from UPSC official website. http://upsc.gov.in/ |

Re: What is the passing marks required for NDA written test? Is the test objective or descriptive?
Dear friend,
NDA Exam comprises of three stages to qualify i.e. Written Test SSB Medical Test It is roughly predicted that if a candidate scored about 40% marks or above in General Studies and 60% marks or above in Mathematics, then he could easily qualify Written Exam of NDA. So, there is no official cutoff decided by NDA authorities regarding qualifying of NDA Written Exam. However, you must try your best to cross the rough prediction mentioned above. NDA Exam (II) 2015 was conducted on 27 September, 2015 If you wish to apply for upcoming NDA Exam 2016, then you can apply through UPSC Online Portal i.e. upsconline.nic.in Here are some useful books for NDA Exam preparation: NDA & NA Chapterwise - Sectionwise Solved Papers : Mathematics / English / General Ability with Explanatory Solutions (English) 5th Edition (Paperback) Author: Experts Compilation Released: 2014 Publisher: Arihant Price: Rs.195 NDA & NA National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Entrance Examination: 10 Practice Sets (English) 1st Edition (Paperback) Author: Expert Compilations Released: 2012 Publisher: Arihant Publications(I) Pvt.Ltd - Meerut Price: Rs.161 Mathematics for NDA and NA: National Defence Academy and Naval Academy (English) 1st Edition (Paperback) Author: Aggarwal, R S|Author; Released: 1990 Publisher: S.Chand Publishing Price: Rs.450 |
