IAS Exam i.e. Indian Administrative Exam:
Any degree holder from any recognized University in any discipline with any percentage is eligible provided he/she fulfills other UPSC eligibility criteria. Age limit: 21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, which a candidate is appearing. Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs. Number of Attempts: Four attempts for open, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs. If a person appears in the Preliminary Examination or even one paper is counted as an attempt. IMPORTANT DATE FOR CIVIL SERVICES EXAM., 2013 Date Of Notification:-02.02.2013 Last date of submission of form:-04.03.2013 (MONDAY) Date of exam Prelims:-19.05.2013 (SUNDAY) Date of Mains exam:- 08.11.2013 (SUNDAY) How to apply: •Apply online by using the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in •Apply offline by purchasing the application form from designated post offices throughout the country. Degree holders in any subject can apply for IAS prelims exam. Age of the applicant must be 21 and 30 years. Concession in age is given for reserved category candidates. OBC candidates can apply upto the age of 33 years. In case of SC/ST candidates, the maximum age limit is 35 years.

There is simply no specific percentage essential or declared to write civil services exam. Only you need a graduation degree from recognized university.
So, for those who have a valid level from recognized college, you can make application for Civil services examination. You should possess minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years. Upper age relaxation for reserved category candidates is as follows: 3 years age relaxation for OBC. 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST. Pattern of examination: 1. Preliminary exam 2. Main exam 3. Interview Total number of attempts: General category- 4 OBC - 7 There is no limit for SC/ST. |
