CBI recruits sub-inspectors and other "Group C" posts through SSC examinations, followed by a fitness test.

It also recruits from police departments for the ranks of inspector and above.
PLease look at the attachments for details on payscale , further recruitment and policies.

Crime Branch CBI (Central bureau of Investigation) is a specialized wing in many state police forces in India of their Criminal Investigation Department .

Other branches of the CBI are

• State Crime Investigation Bureau
• Finger Print Bureau
• and Scientific Section.

To join in CBI you need to write the CGPE EXAM conducted by UPSC...!!
and minimum qualification for that is to be Graduate..

for that you need to have good physical strength also like any armed force..

Coming to salary depending upon your rank salary varies for example for Director Pay Scale: Rs. 26000/-

The examination is of two papers.

1. General intelligence & awareness
2. Arithmatic

The preliminary exam is followed by the Main exam.

Main exam :

English language, Comprehension, Communication skill and writing ability ,Arithmetic and
General studies.

Also CBI conducts an exam for sub-inspector.

Eligibility : bachelor's degree from a recognized university
age : not more than 25 years.

Two Sections : objective theory paper
interview session.

It's really good to know that you want to work against illegal activities and to do so, there are various ways but since you have asked specifically about CBI, following is the eligibility criteria to get into it:
You must be a graduate, on any discipline.
You must be within the age limit of 18-27 years.

If you fulfill the above mentioned eligibility criteria, you may write the combined graduate preliminary exam. This examination is conducted by staff selection commission for recruitment of candidates in non-technical department of CBI.

CBI is the exam which is conducted by Central bureau of Investigation under UPSC.
So, if you join the CBI the minimum qualification is graduation in any stream.
The main factor in the CBI exam is the physical strength of the candidate.
Other option for join CBI is join the police force and after the increment the police officer join the CBI.

To join in CBI you need to write the CGPE EXAM conducted by UPSC.
and minimum qualification for that is to be Graduate..

for that you need to have good physical strength also like any armed force or army jawans...

after clearing your exam you have to go for physical training of 3 months........

their they will test your capability.........and strength.......

CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) exam is conducted by UPSC.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
Candidate should have minimum graduation degree with any discipline from a recognized university.

AGE CRITERIA:
For General category candidate,age should be between 21 to 27 years
For OBC category candidates age should be between 21 to 30 years
For SC/ST category candidates age should be between 21 to 35 years.

NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS:
4 attempts for General category candidates
7 attempts for OBC category candidates
Unlimited attempts for sc/st category candidates
