SBI Placement Test

As like working with SBI is a great opportunity for every aspiring individual, the recruitment process organized by SBI is one of the toughest examination in all bank exams. The questions are of multiple choice types with duration of 150 minutes. For the clerical post there will be only the objective type questions. But for higher posts like probationary officers the recruitment test includes a descriptive test in addition to the objective test with total of 180 minute duration.

Most of the examinations of SBI include the topics from English, quantitative aptitude, reasoning and general awareness. For the descriptive test the candidates have to write about a topic as given in the question paper.

The examination board will publish a cut off marks for the examinations. Those clearing the written examination will be called for the next procedures, i.e. the final interview. In this stage the candidates have to face various questions that will be from any subjects they have studied so far. They will be asked to self introduce, questions on academic backgrounds and so many. Apart from all these there will be questions on banking awareness to test the candidates’ knowledge in banking terms and matters.

The candidates appearing for the placement test of SBI should prepare well for the examination according to a well planned schedule. They must have thorough knowledge in each area. Students have to cover a large number of questions in a short duration of time. Time management is an important factor in this, so they should practice on it. Students can also pursue coaching for the preparation of examinations. There are numerous coaching institutes in the country which offer better coaching for the competitive exams. Also there are books available exclusively for the SBI examinations. Student can refer those books such as Bank Clerical Cadre Recruitment Exam by Jain, Competitive Success, Magical Book on Quicker Maths by M. Tyra, etc.

Those candidates who get through the written tests will be called for the next set of procedure. In this stage, that is in the final interview also they have to score well. For this they must prepare in advance to perform well. They will have to face many technical questions as well as questions on general matters. They must be confident in answering all questions. Since there may be questions about banking awareness, deep knowledge in banking terms is also necessary for them. They need to make a clear idea about all the terms used in bank. They need to update the general knowledge and current affairs as well.
