Procedure to become a Deputy Collector:

In order to become a Deputy Collector, one needs to meet the basic eligibility criteria. The minimum educational qualification required is given below,

@ Candidates must have completed Bachelor's degree or Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or institute to be eligible.

@ Those who are pursuing final year are also eligible to apply. As you have already completed B.Sc in Chemistry course, I can say that you are eligible to become Deputy Collector.

@ To become a Deputy Collector, you are required to apply for Civil Services Examination conducted by Union Public service Commission. Then you will be appointed as Deputy Collector by the concerned state.

@ You will have to clear all the Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and Interview rounds one by one to get selected in the particular post.

A collector is one of the most prestigious jobs in India. To become a collector you first have to appear in the civil service exam conducted by UPSC. Any Indian, Nepali, or Bhutanese with a graduation degree in any stream from a government recognized university can give that exam. The candidate has to qualify UPSC exam to become a deputy collector.

For becoming Deputy Collector you need to fulfill few Eligibility requirement which are maintained below in detail.

Eligibility criteria:-

Citizen of India.

The candidate should complete their graduation degree from any recognised University.

The age should be between 21 to 30 years.

Number of Attempts:-
The number of attempts for general candidates is 4, for OBC candidate it is 7 and no limits for SC/ST candidates.

To become Deputy collector, you have to appear and qualify in the state public service commission examination.

The required educational qualification to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree in any discipline. The age limit varies with state.

The examination is conducted in three stages and after qualifying in all the stages of the examination eligible for the final selection. For detail information about the examination visit at official website of the respective state public service commission.
