Respected Sir, I have applied for the UPSC Indian Forest Service Preliminary Examination of 2020. But I don’t know how they are going to select the candidates. Can you please let me know about the selection procedure?

The selection procedure for joining Indian Forest Service comprises of following stages :-

* Stage I) Civil Services Preliminary examination.

* Stage II) Indian Forest Service Main examination (Written examination followed by Interview).

The selection of candidates in UPSC Civil Services examination is based on performance in three stages of examination.

>>First stage is Preliminary examination. You just need to qualify this exam to be eligible for mains exam which is second stage of this exam.

Your performance in Mains exam and personal interview will decide your final selection. The marks obtained in Mains exam and interview is added and merit is prepared on that sum.
