Hello everyone, I have applied for the NDA & NA examination of the UPSC for 2021. I just want to know how I can get selected under this examination? I want to get selected in my first attempt. So, please tell me about the procedure of selection. Waiting for your response!

Selection Procedure of the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) NDA (National Defence Academy) & NA examination 2021 will be based on Written Exam and SSB Interview.

Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.

Candidate age must lie between 15.7 to 18.7 years.

---Selection procedure under UPSC NDA & NA examination 2021---

Selection will be done through WRITTEN EXAM, INTERVIEW AND MEDICAL TEST.

--- WRITTEN EXAM---

NDA exam has two parts that is mathematics and general aptitude and they are both conducted in offline mode.
A total of 120 questions multiple choice based objective questions will be asked in the mathematics section and a total of 150 multiple choice based objective questions will be asked in the general ability section.
Negative will be there.

--- INTERVIEW---

Candidates qualifying in the written exam will be called for the interview process and it includes two stages that is psychological aptitude test and intelligence test.

--- MEDICAL TEST---

After clearing the SSB interview, candidates are required to undergo a medical test.

Stages of SSB Interview -

Stage 1 - Testing
Activities conducted - Screening, Verbal and Non-verbal test, PPDT

Stage 2 - Psychological Test
Activities conducted - Thermal Appreciation Test, Word Association Test, Situation Reaction Test, Self Description Test

Stage 3 - Group Testing Officers Test
Activities conducted - Group Discussion, Group Planning Exercise, Progressive Group Task, Half Group Task, Individual Obstacles Task, Command Task, Snake race/Group obstacle race, Individual Lecture, Final Group Task

Stage 4 - Personal Interview

Stage 5 - Conference

Selection will be made after qualifying in both the stages of examination.

The two stages of examination are Written and SSB.

Candidates after qualifying in written examination will become eligible to appear for SSB.

The selection procedure under UPSC NDA & NA examination 2021 will be on the basis of performance in written test followed by an interview/personality test. The educational qualification required is for Army Wing of National Defence Academy candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board and for the Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics subjects from a recognized board. The candidate minimum age should be 15.7 years and the maximum age should be 18.7 years.

The selection procedure under NDA (National Defense Academy) & NA (Naval Academy) examination held by UPSC comprises are as below :-n

* Written Examination ( comprising of two papers which are Mathematics (Paper I) and General Ability Test (Paper II)).

* SSB (Service Selection Board) Interview.

Candidates qualifying both the above stages will have undergo Medical Test before joining NDA.
