Sir, can I get the admission in 2nd year B.Tech in AMU civil engineering through LEET. I have completed my diploma in leather technology from government college and I want to get the admission in different branch. Is it possible ?

No, you can't get admission in B.Tech Civil Engineering course in AMU through LEET after completion of your three years Diploma course in Leather Technology from a Government college. Being a Diploma holder in Leather Technology, you can get admission B.Tech (Leather Technology) or any other related courses, but you are not eligible to get admission in B.Tech Civil EngIneering course in AMU.

It is not possible to do B. Tech in different specialization after completing a Diploma in Design Leather Design. However, you can do the Engineering courses through lateral entry after completing the Diploma course.

- B.Tech in Leather Technology
- B.Tech in Design Leather Design

Eligibility Criteria:

- The minimum eligibility criteria required to study the B.Tech is the 12th standard or its equivalent qualification from a recognized board.

- The candidate must score at least 50% of marks at 12th standard board exam.

- Those who completed their Diploma course are eligible to do B.Tech or B.E course through lateral entry.

I am sorry to say that you cannot get admission in B.Tech(Civil) in AMU after completion of your Diploma in leather technology as the specialization is different and which is not permissible.

You can however continue with your B.Tech degree in Leather Technology and then can even go for higher studies in the same field.
