Graduation is a must for becoming a collector through exams like UPSC Civil Services exam or any other state public service commission exam. On the basis of class 12th there is no chance to become a collector.

Therefore, try to complete graduation and then crack civil services exam with excellent marks. Age limit for this exam is 21 to 32 years.

Collector means Indian Administrative Services Officer. Aspirants who clear Civil Services examination become IAS officer. The minimum eligibility in terms of academic qualification is that candidates must have done bachelor's degree from a recognized university.

10+2 passed candidates are not eligible to appear for Civil Services examination. So, you must complete graduation from a recognized university to be eligible for Civil Services examination. The minimum age limit for exam is 21 years.
