The best option for you will be PSU jobs according to your stream through GATE. Hence, try to qualify GATE with an excellent score. There are other options also like Bank PO/Specialist officers exam conducted by IBPS and SBI.

There is CDS and various other short service commission jobs in defence for engineering graduates. There is Engineering services exam conducted by UPSC and also Civil services exam. You have to perform well in written and interview to get these jobs.

You are in 3rd year candidate in Engineering so you are eligible for below given government jobs.

1.Group D post

2.Primary school teacher

3.SSC exam

4.PSC exam

The candidate has to complete the graduation first (i.e. B.E or BTech).
You can find many jobs after the graduation in government sector both in core and non core organisations.
After your graduation you can appear for jobs in Banks, Indian Railways, Staff Selection Commission, Indian Navy, Indian Army, Public Sector Undertaking companies like BHEL, NTPC, NLC, SAIL, Power Grid Corporation, DRDO, ISRO etc.
The candidate has to appear for examination for the selection to the government jobs.
The candidate has to clear the competitive examination to appear for interviews.
