Yes, it is necessary to qualify in NATA exam through B.Arch course.

NATA is an aptitude test conducted by the Council of Architecture for those aspirants who wish to avail admissions into the 5 year B.Arch courses.

Applicants who have passed SSC (Class 10th) or equivalent examination can appear for NATA exam but are not eligible for the B.Arch admissions.

Those candidates who have passed 10+ 2 or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate are eligible for NATA exam. You must have studied Mathematics as a main subject in 10+2 or equivalent.

Yes, you are required to qualify NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) to pursue B.Arch (Bachelor of Architecture) course in institutes located all over India. NATA Entrance Examination is organized by National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture. Candidates who have completed their 12th Class in 10+2 pattern with minimum 50% marks are eligible to apply for NATA Entrance Examination. NATA stands for National Aptitude Test in Architecture. It is an entrance examination which is conducted by National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture (NIASA) for admission to Undergraduate courses in Architecture. Candidates who have completed 10th standard or higher education are eligible to appear in NATA examination. But, only candidates who have qualified an Aptitude Test and secured 50% marks in 10+2 examination are eligible for admission to B.Arch course.

If you want admission in a decent college then appearing in entrance exam like NATA is very essential. If you can get a good score in it then you will get admission in a reputed college through counselling. Hence, try your best to clear it with excellent marks.

You can also apply for JEE Main for getting admission in B.Arch course. This exam will help you to get admission in IIT and NIT which NATA will not.
