As per the Policy of the AICTE, the qualification acquired through distance education mode at diploma, B.E/B.Tech in the field of engineering etc. are not recognized. But there are some universities which are offering B.Tech/B.E program through distance education mode. As per the Public notification of AICTE, the qualification acquired through distance mode are recognized for the purpose of employment to post and services under the central government, these have been approved by Distance education council.
