Whether a candidate is eligible to appear in IIT-JAM for admission in M.Sc course if completed B.Sc from IGNOU?

Hello friends,
Is the B.Sc degree awarded by IGNOU recognized by the IIT?
If one completes his Bachelor in Science from IGNOU, can he appear for the JAM entrance test conducted by the IIT for admission to the M.Sc course?
Looking forward to your replies. Thanks.

Yes IGNOU is a recognized University and you will be able to appear for the JAM Entrance Test conducted for the admission to the M.Sc course of IIT.
You will be eligible for admission only if you are able to secure 60% marks in you B.Sc Course and if you are having a lower score then you will not be able to get admission into the course of M.Sc.
So just make sure that you are eligible to sit for the Examination and then you will be able to appear for the Entrance Test and if you are able to crack the Entrance Test you will be able to get admission into the course of M.Sc in IIT.

IGNOU is a govt university. Degree from IGNOU is valid throughout the world for higher education and Indian central or state govt jobs.
You can apply for IIT JAM with your B.Sc Degree without any hassle.Concentrate on your exam and relax about these validity doubts.
Although every IIT has different marks of eligibility criteria but if you have over 60% marks then you are eligible for all.
