Sir, I want to do PhD in Economics in Assam University. Can you let me know what is the process for admission? I want to know the procedure in details. Please help me to know about this.

Admission procedure to study PhD in Economics in Assam University?

1. The candidate will have to apply online by filling the application form.

2. Qualify the entrance exam.

3. The candidate will get admission based on the cut off of that year.

Admission procedure to study PhD in Economics in Assam University?

Candidates may apply online on payment of through e-challan/online as an application fee. The weblink for the purpose is www.ausexamination.ac.in/admission and shall remain active on the University Admission portal till 05.12. 2021.

The duration is 3 years.

The eligibility criteria is to have Masters degree in relevant subject with atleast 60% aggregate marks from a recognised university.

Admission is based on entrance exam
CSIR
NET
SLET
GATE etc.
They can also take their own entrance exam to check the knowledge of candidate.
After the entrance exam, thay have to go through group discussion where they have to present their research proposal or work.

The exam is of semester type.
Duration is 3 years or higher.

Admission process for PhD in Economics in Assam University:-
Candidate must passed masters degree in the concerned discipline with minimum 55% marks

Relaxation of 5% marks is given to reserved category candidates

Candidate may apply up to Max no of two courses is a for MPhil or for PHD courses

Candidate may apply online for the course on payment of ₹500 for general and OBC students and ₹300 for SC/ ST / PWD students.

Candidates for PHD courses will be selected on the basis of entrance test and interview conducted by the University.
