I have completed M.Sc Biochemistry..i am interested to do phd in biotechnology in gujarat only..if i am eligible for that post?? which are the important exams for what should i prepare?? please give me some idea.. Hope that I will get the answer soon.

Yes, MS.c in Biochemistry holder candidates are eligible to do Ph.D.

Those candidates who has completed masters degree from a recognised University are eligible for Ph.D entrance exam.

General and OBC candidates should hold 55% and above marks in masters degree. For SC/ ST candidate its 50% and above in masters degree.

your age should be below 28 years for JRF post.

You have completed M.Sc in Biochemistry, So you are eligible for Ph.D course.

Those candidates who have completed masters degree with above 55% marks from a recognized university with above 55% marks are eligible for Ph.D course.

There is no age criteria for Ph.D course but you must have a valid GATE/ CSIR NET score card.
