I am planning to do PhD , but that meghalaya university is UGC recog but not AICTE is that phd valid for professors in govt engg colleges pl reply quickly ,thanks in advance. Can you please tell me how we can collect the information on the same?

The Institute if it is both AICTE and UGC recognized, it will be better for your future, however there is no fixed criteria such as the Institute should be an AICTE and UGC approved.

You can very much opt for the course from the above mentioned University, there is no such problem in it. Your degree will be valid for both private and government sectors.

For Ph.D you just need UGC approval. There is no need to get AICTE approval because it is a research programme which is carried by the candidate.

You only need to make sure that admission in an recognized university. Admission will be on the basis of entrance exam and interview.
