Hello everyone, I am doing Master of Social Work from IGNOU. After my MSW, I want to study PhD in Social Work from Tamil Nadu. Kindly tell me about the requirements for doing PhD in Tamil Nadu?

The eligibility to study PhD in social work is an M.phil and a PG degree in social.work with minimum 55 % marks or masters degree in social work and minimum of 5 years experience in teaching /research/administration/health etc.

If you do have MSW , it should be from a CSWE accredited program.

Requirements to study PhD(Social Work) in Tamil Nadu for MSW student of IGNOU?

Minimum Eligibility: You must have qualified Post Graduation / M.Phil in the relevant field.
Admission Process: Entrance Exam/ Merit-based.

For some prestigious Universities, a candidate is required to qualify the all India level examination such as ‘National Eligibility Test for Lectureship (NET) conducted by University Grants Commission.

Requirements to study PhD(Social Work) in Tamil Nadu for MSW student of IGNOU?

1. You must have passed a Master's with a minimum of 60% marks from any university.

2. You must have passes an admission test of the university or any equivalent entrance examination like NET, CSIR UGC NET, etc.

3. You must be an Indian citizen.

4. The duration is 3 years.

5. There is no age limit to pursue this course.

The requirements to study PhD Social Work at Tamil Nadu is, you must have a post graduate degree /MPhil degree in the relevant field , duration of this course is 3- 6 years.
Candidates also have to appear in the entrance exam called CSIR UGC NET,GATE etc..

The requirement to study PhD in Social Work in Tamil Nadu is a candidate must have passed a master's degree in the relevant field with a minimum score of 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized board. Admission selection will be through either state or national level or through direct admission. The minimum score and admission selection may vary from university to university.
