The minimum requirement for doing Ph.D in India is a Master's degree with at least 55% marks from a recognized University. Therefore, you must complete your M.Sc honours with this percentage and then you will be eligible for various Ph.D entrance exams for getting admission. Some of the top Universities prefer candidates with NET/SLET/JRF scores. Therefore, if you want to get admission in top colleges then try to clear any of these exams after completion of your Master's degree.
