according to me GATE exams are tougher
which brings good job opportunities in future

well according to me both have their own importance and future.
GATES is an exam related to a particular subject which have its own career along. The one who can crack GATES can have a bright future and have many opportunities in the following fields one likes to have and can earn more.

as for IES, i say its an exam in which the candidate who appears for it should have much more knowledge of different subjects of different fields.
Its tougher because everyone can't crack IES and the selection of the candidate is based on his intelligence and elegibility, as the selection are given to a candidate after much filteration ....

it also depends on what kind of study you opt to go for......
well nothing is tough or impossible if you have a well planned time management for your studies and the thing is how you follow it.

Because their procedure is so tough that needs very hard work and full knowledge in particular field.

and IES gives you job security
whereas clearing GATE is comparatively easier.

IES EXAM CONSISTS OF 14 TECHNICAL SUBJECTS AND ANOTHER PAPER ON GENERAL STUDY WHICH INCLUDES VARIOS OTHER SUBJECTS BUT ANY PERSON CAN SCORE HIGH PERCENTILE BY PREPARING 5-6 SUBJECTS OBVIOUSLY IES IS TOUGHER

I think both are difficult but GATE paper exams are much tougher than the IES.
You need to have more general knowledge of power to achieve both with their syllabus.

off course i e s is much tough then gate yaar thie is one of the tough exam in india . i e s provide better career option other than gate

IES is tough exam because you have to do also conventional part in it.You can be able to do it if you are basics are clear.In GATE their are objective questions.So there is little chance that it can be qualified with little bit knowledge.

IES is much tougher than GATE..the level of questions in IES exam is very difficult and we need to have deep understandng about each and every topic

What i actually feel in this regard is that.. both are equally challenged.
but IES has got more advantages over GATE.

So personally, I'd prefer IES for preparation.

As per my knowledge IES is one of the toughest exam in India.
& when we compare this exam with GATE then, IES will be tougher than GATE.
Just because of no. of seats are very few in IES. But also getting admission in IITs through GATE is a great job too.

IES is more tougher than GATE as GATE is an OPEN GATE for all & one has many options to clear it.

Undoubtely IES is much tougher compared to GATE, There needs to be through and detail preparation for IES,one have to be clear of every concepts.
It takes some years to be prepared for an IES exam. But in the case of GATE it is not so, yes it too is not that easy but it cannot be compared with IES.
2 months of well preparation and some luck can crack the GATE.

generally people think that IES is difficult than gate because IES contains both conventional and objective but gate has only objective .regarding the
difficulty each one is having its own . Gate tests the conceptive ability of the candidate but it lags in testing the guys correct understanding of the concept as there is chance of answering in a lottery,but conventional is not like that .

Gate is also tougher that's like IES..there is a need of fully preparation for that.

IES is thougher because there are more thougher competition compare to GATE. because they want to get job and IN GATE candidate just want to take admission.

surely , IES , selection are very few for IES and more in GATE.

Acoordingto my views IES is tougher than GATE examination and leads to best career opportunities.

IES is very tough exam,for GATE preparation,three months is sufficient to qualify,but for IES it is not possible.

IES is more difficult than GATE as the level is very hard unlike GATE which comprises of mixed level questions.Also IES has post written selection procedure also. Gate offers better opportunity if you get a very good institute.

IES is tougher than GATE as number of seats in are good in number whereas in IES it is very few.
IES exam conducted in various phases and have to clear all.
But in GaTE there is only one paper which is not too tough after clearing that you are selected.
As far as the career is concern IES gives you more money and power as compare to GATE.
You have to give 2 year for mtech after gate and then you enter into job.
but in IES you directly enter into job.

I think both are tougher because i know well about Gate exam is very tough because all 4 years of engineering you have to study at a time and crack the exam but similarly IAS is also not easy pie this one of the toughest exams...which not only need knowldege in one field but it need all rounder....................

both are equally tough as well as easy.its all left to your preparation. but on a scale of 10 i would say ies s 1 point tougher that GATE

I think Gate is tougher than IES.
I know for IES we have to clear two exam one is multiple choice question and another is theory subject But still GATE level is high people take year to year to clear it ever after proper training.

GAte is a tough when i attend the gate exam very tough questions are there so heavy workout needed to solve those problems.

Both are not tough until we dont study. Both are easy if we study.
Study well ,you will get through on any toughest exam.

Obviously IES is tougher than GATE of any other technical exam as you can see the number seats and career opportunity.

i think IES is more tougher exam than GATE,

I think IES is a bit tough compared to GATE.

Both IES and GATE are tough but IES always have a step ahead of GATE.

GATE exam will be the most powerful than IES. GATE exam is the one which most of the students fell a bit difficult than IES.

Both exams are different and it depends upon interest of student in particular field. m.tech also provides a good carrier opportunities but according to me IES(Indian Engineering Service) exam is better and tougher than GATE. it filters student with a series of tests. and being a government job, provides much security. and also is standard and contain good salary as well.

I think IS is more tough than gate there is a lots of enquiry required to break the Is exams

I.E.S is a job exam as it provides job after clearing it.on the other hand GATE is an entrance exam for getting entry into M.Tech. i think I.E.S is more difficult as it filters students with a series of test whereas in GATE you only face one exam.

both GATE and IES are equally tough when you don't know the actual subject in b.tech vice versa they both are really easy if you are good at your subject in engineering

compared to gate IES will give you a bright future as a engineer where you will work for the country under the state or central governments and by attempting IES there are many other advantages like you will know the general aptitude and
general studies which will you write in the screening test

moreover you will get immense job satisfaction with lifetime security to your job..

IES is tougher than GATE exam though its paper is comparatively less complex than gate itself .. it is tough because of its competition ratio compared to gate and IES offers good carrier prospect because it offers a class officers post in various sector but in case of gate it offers you to study but job is not guarantied.

i think IES is more tough in comparison to GATE ..........

gate covers your further study so it contains the concepts of your 2nd and 3rd year but IES is job exam so it covers more domain of your stream than GATE ...........

undoubtedly IES is more tough to clear than GATE because students get filtered after facing series of tests on the other hand GATE is just an entrance exam to enter into M.Tech

GATE is tougher. It needs more hardwork than IES. Indian students need to have much knowledge if they want to crack GATE

I think IES tougher than GATE .
As IES required knowledge of all the fields that is subject, G.K, English , aptitude and quant but GATE exam required only knowledge of b.tech subjects..

but gate is even one of the tougher exam too!!

I think GATE is tougher as syllabus of IES is a subset of that for GATE

according to my view the candidate who is able to qualify the the IES exam has both written as well as skill knowledge no doubt because to qualify IES exam one should have both technical as well as skill knowledge but to face GATE one must required only written capability


Although in IES exam after written exan interview level i also conducted to choose the bright student among the croud so toclear IES exam not possible for every student
on the other hand GATE exam can be cleared by any student..

IES is more tougher than GATE which was i facing. GATE exam is simple as we do in EAMCET . where as the IES was little bit tougher that consists nearly two days examination. that too very some students were selected.

in my opinion both are equally tough hence we have two options as u can write gate and all private and good colleges are waitng for you and you are very much interested in the government job then we can write ies hance choice depends on us

GATE is more tougher then IES because GATE syllabus is very vast and the number of candidates appearing is also very large !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No exam is tough if you prepare well. Yet for the poll, I chose IES because if we have to compare, it is tougher according to me.
