You need to pursue Pre Sea training, if you want to apply for Merchant Navy job. Normally, for higher level posts, then prefer candidates with B.Sc nautical science or B.Tech marine engineering.

B.Sc geology graduates are not considered for higher level posts. Hence, if you have passed class 12th with PCM, you can try for Deck Cadet jobs.
