The CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) conducts examination for Functional English in addition to compulsory English. The subject is mainly designed for the Arts students. The paper is of 100 marks and four sections are there. The sections are A, B, C & D i.e. reading, writing, grammar and literature respectively. Section A and C consists of 20 marks each and remaining two consists of 25 marks each.
