The Agricultural Engineering Paper of GATE is a 100 marks paper to be answered in the total time duration of three hours. The whole paper is an objective type question paper with multiple choices available. The student is expected to darken the correct answer in a separate response sheet given to him or her. The first 20 questions in the paper carry 1 mark each while the remaining questions carry 2 marks each. There is negative marking on the paper. For the first 20 questions you lose half a mark for every incorrect answer and for the remaining questions you lose two third marks.
