It includes a brief review over micro-electronics and MOS technology, MOS and BiCMOScircuits electrical properties, Concepts of circuits (MOS circuit scaling), Subsystem design processes and layout, memory, registers of system timing.

Paper Pattern: Candidate will be provided with a question paper consisting of 9 questions out of which first question should be answered compulsorily. It is sub divided into 10 objective questions (multiple choice) each carrying 2 marks. Rest of the eight questions is subjective type out of which 5 should be answered. Each question carries 16 marks and if sub divided the marks are distributed accordingly.

Time allotted and Maximum Marks: The duration of exam is 3 hours. Within 45 minutes the first question should be answered and submitted. Maximum marks are 100.

Key Points: Problems are integral part of the paper and the assumptions can be made wherever necessary with appropriate justifications. CAD, CMOS, Scaling functions, derivations, monochrome stick encoding should be given more concentration.
