It includes financial markets, their evolution and significance, concepts and case studies, types and institutions and intermediaries. Primary markets, sources of raising capital, issuance phases and activities, regulatory framework, secondary markets, surveillance, dematerialization and depositories, grievances related to investor and resolution of disputes, valuation models, analysis (fundamental and technical), time value of money, corporate actions and portfolio management are included.

Paper Pattern: Question paper consists of 8 questions out of which 5 should be answered. All are subjective type. Each question carries 16 marks. They may be subdivided.

Time allotted and Maximum Marks: The duration of exam is 3 hours and the maximum marks are 100

Key Points: Basic concepts of equity capital, ASBA, SEBI, risks, intermediaries, primary markets, divided and merger should be eyed upon. They should be explained with appropriate and current examples. The processes look good when depicted in the form of flow charts. Generalized opinion and discussion questions can be asked and they should be supported with valid and acceptable data.
