Programming with C is an important part of the course of BCA. C is known to be the mother of all programming languages. Learning C is the first step towards learning programming languages. Also, knowledge of C makes learning of other languages very easy. Because of all these facts C is included in the course of BCA of Indraprastha University. Questions are asked from topics like variables, typecasting, mathematical functions, strings, arrays, switch, if-else, different types of loops, operators, functions, storage classes, structures, and standard C libraries. Questions are also asked from file management. Students can also expect some questions where they need to write C programs for a given problem statement. To score good marks in this subject students should study all the concepts and theories related to C, as well as they should practice programming-questions as much as possible. All the questions asked in this paper have practical implications, and questions can be asked from anywhere in the syllabus.
