Economics is an optional but important subject for those who are trying for the civil services posts in Karnataka. The Economics paper consists of four sections with options available only in fourth section. In each section is mentioned the word limit so that the student answers the question accordingly and does not write things which are not required. A Section A question is treated as short answer question where a student has to write about 50 words for five marks, while a Section D question is a kind of an essay type answer where a student writes about 300 words for 30 marks.
