The question paper is of 200 marks and there are six sections in the paper. The students must answer one question from each section. The questions are mainly based on mathematical problems to be solved according to data provided in the diagrams. Some of the questions are based on sketching the shear force diagram and bending moment of a continuous beam using the slope deflection method, the data is provided on the diagram, analyze loaded frame with given dimensions by the moment distribution method and draw the bending moment diagram, find the deflection of a point in a loaded truss diagram provided, design a welded space girder of 20m span using tension field action for the given factored forces, what do you understand by workability of concrete and determine any three methods of determining it, also state the conditions under which each workability is best suitable; write short notes on: alkali-aggregate reaction, creep and shrinkage of concrete, pre-cast slab panels and detailed discussion on concrete beam etc.
