NET stands for National Eligibility Test. This test is to test the eligibility of aspirants for lectureship in several subjects, like humanities, languages, and many science subjects. Among the subjects in this test, history is also there. There are two papers on the subject- Paper II and Paper III. Paper II has all MCQs while Paper III has essay type questions. Paper II consists of 50 multiple choice type questions. Each question is of 2 marks, so the total marks carried by the paper are 100. Students have to answer this test in one hour and fifteen minutes. There is no negative marking for this test. So, all the questions should be attempted.
