Can I appear in JEE Main & Advanced through NIOS improvement exam having secured 76% in 12th CBSE?


Can I appear for JEE Main & Advanced after improving my CBSE marks from NIOS? I have scored 76% in 12th CBSE but, now I want to reappear in 12th from NIOS. Can I appear for JEE Main & Advanced after improving my CBSE marks from NIOS?

Yes, NIOS student are eligible for JEE Advanced 2016 exam.

Those who have completed 12th standard from a recognized board with physics, chemistry and mathematics with above 50% marks are eligible for JEE Main exam. 5% marks relaxation is provided for SC/ST category candidates. You can apply consecutively for 3 years. Candidates who have secured top 1,50,000 rank in JEE Main examination are eligible to appear in JEE Advanced examination.

Your age should be in between 17 to 25 years.

Yes, you cane very much appear for the above mentioned examination having completed your 12th boards from NIOS as NIOS board is also widely recognized and is accepted in every Institutes for admission of candidates.

Therefore, I suggest you to start preparing for your examination and try to score well in it.
