Dear Sir, I want to join Indian Navy. But I have completed my 12th from NIOS Board. So, I would like to know that how can I join Indian Navy? Kindly help me to know about this as soon as possible. Waiting for your response!

For joining Indian Navy after class 12th, you need to have passed 12th with PCM stream. If you have got the stream in your NIOS board exams, then surely you can apply for NDA exam.

Other than NDA exam, you can even apply for Indian Navy, Artificer Apprentice and Senior Secondary Sailor posts, which are non officer level posts.

Procedure to join Indian Navy being a 12th NIOS student:-

No, NIOS student are not eligible for Indian Navy through NDA exam.

Candidates who have completed the 12th standard form any recognised board or equivalent exam are eligible for NDA exam.

Final year of 12th standard are eligible for NDA exam.

Your age should be in between to 16.5 to 19 years .

You must be an Indian citizen.

Written examination will be divided into two parts.

To be eligible to join Indian Navy, candidate must have completed 11th or 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics if they want to join Indian Navy through NDA examination.
But candidate must have minimum age of 16.5 years and maximum should not exceed 19 years where as there is no upper age relaxation given to reserved categories.

Being a pass out of NIOS board you are eligible.
