I want to know if NIOS certificate is acceptable or not in the good engineering colleges.

NIOS stands for the National Institute of Open Schooling and it is the recognised board.

So you are eligible to get the admission in the best engineering colleges if you fulfill the other eligibility criteria. The required qualification to get the admission in the engineering colleges is candidates must have passed the 10+2 from the PCM.

You are also eligible to appear in the JEE examination which is conducted for the admission of the candidates in the government and the private colleges.

Engineering is the most sought career option after the 10+2 board exams and for candidate who has done with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects from a recognized board.

There are various engineering entrance exams conducted at the national and state level for undergraduate courses in engineering like:

>>Joint Entrance examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education.

>>State Level engineering entrance test like WBJEE, BCECE etc.

>>Private institute engineering entrance exam like SRMEEE, VITEEE, BITSAT etc.

For all these exams, NIOS certificate is valid as NIOS is a valid board for 10+2 exams. Hence there is nothing to worry about, you will be able to get admission in any engineering college of India either it is government or private.
