You need to score at least 25 percent marks in both summative assessments (SA1+SA2) to qualify the 9th standard examination.

Yes, you need to reappear in the examination if you had failed in any of subject, you can qualify the examination by appearing in Supplementary examinations.

You need to contact your school examination branch to register for reappearing in the examinations. Then, you can go and reappear in the examinations and you can qualify the examinations of your 9th standard.

It is set by government that every candidate must have to get at least 35% aggregate in every class to pass and in class 9th also you should follow same thing.
If any one get less than that then he or she will have to appear in that subject again.
If anyone fails then without clearing you will not be eligible to appear in 10th board exams.

The minimum passing marks is 40% in 9th CBSE Sa1 board exam in aggregate. There is no need to appear for the paper as there is no such provision for it except to just repeat the class again. However, I would suggest you to continue with your studies even if you fail in one subject in 9th standard and try to score well in your 10th board examination because that is where it all matters and not of 9th mark sheet.
