Information about NET/SET exam? I have finished my PG in MCM


Sir.i have finished my post graduation in MCM , so i want to ask you detail information of NET/SET exams and its forms?how i can get entry in NET/SET?

You are eligible to apply for both NET and SET. PG degree with 55% or above is the basic qualification required for NET. NET is conducted by UGC and SET by state authorities. Though PG degree is the necessary qualification for SET, the eligibility requirements may vary with state. Applications can be collected and submitted through the concerned web portals.

NET/SET exam is for lecture ship.NET is conducted by UGC.SET is conducted by state government.Any students who have completed his/her post-graduation can write NET/SET exam.So you are completed PG means you can write NET/SET.NET is for lectureship in national level institutes.SET is for lectureship in state level institutes.

NET stands for National Eligibility Test

NET Exams are conducted by UGC twice a year in June and December

NET Exam is conducted for:
Lecturership
Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)

Educational Qualifications for the UGC-NET exams is:
Post Graduation pass
Minimum 55% marks in Post Graduation for the General and OBC candidates
Minimum 50% marks for the SC/ST candidates

Age Limit:
Lectureship-No age limit
JRF-maximum age to apply is 28 years
OBC/WOMEN/SC/ST candidates can apply till 33 years

Next NET exams would be conducted in December 2013
You can fill the forms in October 2013 through the website www.ugcnetonline.in
