Look if you really want to do M.tech then i would better say that do it full time from reputated college don't do from distance learning part time course, because as you are doing M.tech in chemical engineering you might be thinking for a good job too, so if you do this course from any distance learning institute rather than from reputated institute then you might miss this opportunity.So, if you don't have cleared GATE you might clear it next time or you might opt through management quota this year also.So, don't let your career in vain.

There are two ways of doing m.tech:
1.through gate score
2.by your own sponsorship.
Since gate makes you eligible for scholarships,its option is complete in govt. colleges.
you can pursue in this way.

I WOULD LIKE TO PURSUE MY M.TECH IN CHEMICAL ENGINEERING FROM UNITED KINGDOM OR CANADA OR NEWZEALAND. COULD U PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHICH WOULD BE THE BETTER OPTION.

Dear friend

If one does some part time course then he/she can do only a part time job which would not pay much. Also part time M.Tech is not as valuable as fulltime. If you go for M.Tech then you can get good fellowships. This year you don't have gate score. Its not too late. You can try next year with all your effort.
If you are thinking about money then you can try a part time job (like teaching) for now rather than part time course.

Without a GATE score it is very difficult to get admission in reputed engineering colleges.You can take admission through management quotas as well as by appear in exam in any particular college.

But part time M.Tech is not a good decision because, you will not get much benefit by doing it & also General Engineering colleges doesn't provide such part time courses.

You can take admission in various colleges without having GATE score, but if you will have GATE score then you will get a chance to take admission in IITs, NITs,IISc etc.

So, kindly appear in GATE exam in 2011, the form has been published & exam will be conducted on 13th of feb 2011.

yes this is quite possible for you. there are some colleges provides direct admission to the M.Tech regular as well as part time. You can go for PTU that is punjab technical university,they provide the direct admission for part time M.Tech.

see Minimum GATE score required for chemical engineering in part time. to get M.Tech Admission in IIT and NIT Colleges gate score is fully varied year to year.

but as a general if you can get rank with in 2000, then you can get iits and nits easily.

that means you have to get 90% in the gate exam.

with out gate exam you will not get good institution.

you can get admission on the basis of your degree.
a merit list is formed by the institutes for this you need not to clear the GATE.

But it is of 3 years. & classes held on weekends.

Dear friend

to get admission in MTech, you have to face GATE exam.There is no any short cut for MTech.If you want to get admission through management quota, for this you must have valid GATE score card.So, appear for the GATE 2011.Form of GATE 2011 has been published.

If you really want to do part time M.Tech in chemical engineering. Then u have only option to go through the self finance institutions. And doing m.tech is very impoptant for your promotion in industry.
There are many private institution which offer m.tech part time. You can go through the internet.

you can take admission in M.Tech and if you do not want to go through GATE than no problem.
There are many other university in which you can take admission directly by entrance test or other procedure but i think you can do M.Tech in which college where you can appoint as faculty.

M.tech without GATE is possible only for the colleges..taht conducts its own exam...like the state OJEE ranks are valuable for entering into M>tech colleges...

you can join M.Tech in part time on weekends many universities offers such studies & GATE is not required.
LIKE IP University,Punjab University etc.

what is the mean of part time ? is it the same as correspondence.actually i am working full time so is there any chance to get m.tech. in chemical engineering.
and the major thing is that here nearby no college have m.tech in chemical engineering so cant think of weekend classes.
any solution for it?

Yes, you can apply for GATE,If you are sure to clear the backlogs in 8th semester.You need to clear all your backlogs papers to be eligible for GATE.

ELIGIBILITY FOR GATE
You should be a Bachelor degree holder in engineering/technology/architecture and whose who are in final year.
You should be a master's degree holder in any branch of science/mathematics/statics/computer application whose who are in final year.
You should be in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master's degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology.
You should be in the fourth or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master's degree programme or Dual Degree programme in Engineering/T
