Is tattoo on wrist allowed for Government Jobs?

Yes, tattoo is allowed in some government job but in many job it is prohibited.
Tattoo is prohibited in jobs like IAS, IPS, IRS, IFS, Indian Defence Services, Army, Navy and Air Force etc.
Tattoo is allowed in some government jobs like Clerk and Probationary Officer in Banks, Engineering Services, PWD department etc.

-> The tattoo on wrist is not allowed for govt jobs.
-> In Defence, Tattoos are not allowed.
-> If the tattoo is on your neck, back or shoulder then you must be covered that tattoo at the job location.
-> But on wrist, tattoo is visible for everyone so you are not allowed for govt. jobs.

For getting a government job have to fulfill all the eligibility criteria as per the company demand.

The tattoo on your wrist does not cause any issue in getting any government job.

But if your tattoo is clearly seen to the interviewer at the time of interview then it cause a negative effect on his/her mind.

So my suggestion to you is that if your tattoo is temporary then you should go for remove the tattoo.

However if your tattoo is permanent then you should opt full sleeve dress.

The main thing that really matters for getting a job is your communication skill.

Here is a brief detail of government job after 12th class :

** Assistants

** Clerk (LDC),

** Attendant,

** Driver,

** Constable,

** Village Administrative Officer (VAO),

** Stenographer,

** Data Entry Operator,

Required qualification:

The applicant should be 12th Pass (HSC, 10+2, Intermediate or equivalent) studied under State Board or Government approved Organizations or Institutions.

Age details:

All Eligible Students age should be between 18 years to 35 years

Only in military academy and police academy candidates with tattoos are not allowed.
In other fields tattoo is not objectionable.
So you don't have to worry if you have a tattoo on your shoulder.
It will not create any problem in getting jobs in railway sector.

Tattoos are not allowed in jobs related to Army, Police and Paramilitary jobs. For other government jobs there is no issue.

So, it will depend on the choice of job. For most of the government jobs, it shouldn't create any problems.
