Persuing my b.pharm deg..4th yr.. Recently i came across a new topic, M.s pharma science,which can b done by a b.pharm degree holder.. Is their any similarity between M.S pharma and M.S aftr M.B.B.S.. What is its scope in india..

abinash..i think,M.S.Pharm is equivalent to m.b.b.s but not m.s. in m.b.b.s..up to my knowledge...i think...it has a good scope in india..it is the up-coming branch in the medical sciences..

You are right MS pharma has good scope.
After B.pharma you must complete your MS because without masters you cant get good job.
There are many scope for this course.
1. A pharmacy professional can work as a production person (chemist, officer, executive, manager, vice-president), involved in the production of bulk drug & intermediates or formulations and dosage forms.
2. Research & Development of Drugs
3. Analysis & Testing
4. Marketing
5. Regulatory Affairs

the scope of M.S. in pharma is very good specially after doing graduation in pharmacy courses.

It has got great demands in future career also.
You can join in professional managerial posts as a chemist or druggist consultant or a marketing executive.
Also you can opt to go in the R&D section for further studies.

what is the scope of ms in pharmacology ? can we go in medicine reserch in R&D after ms pharmacology in india..

Myself Dr.Puspa..I am a veterinary graduate.I heard of NIPER,that offers MS in pharmacology and toxicology,for MBBS,BVSc n B.Pharm graduates...wanted to know that is this the same MS degree as offered in medical colleges or is there any difference between the two? plz answer my query. thank you.

Don't do MS Pharmacology in out side india because colleges are not allowing poeple for teaching MS Pharmacology students in india and they are saying AICTU not giving approval

PCI has to take necessary steps to recognise MS

: Andhra University and Ramky Academy of Culture and Education (RACE) signed a MoU to run three joint MS programmes in pharmaceutical sciences. what is the scope if i join it after my b.pharm

M.s pharma jobs is not very much developed in india at present but accordind to aicte and pci the degree is not applicable in india and we can join as a faculty in india by ms degree. But you will get a good skills and get a good command on recent advanced techniques . But compared to other countries in our country we will not use advanced techniques .
We can get a job in industry side with a high pay

at first you have to decided that where you stay in future, india or abroad?
if you stay in india, then my friend why are you going for MS?
simply you can do M.pharm and get greater opportunity in india.

If u want to settle in pharma industry try to join in any job .MS pharma has no worth.if u r interested in teaching join in m.pharm

Dear sir, i havent qualified in gpat-2012 but i got 3500 rank as my category is OBC i scored 97 marks. is there any chance to get admission ?

i was left with MS Pharm as an option during my NIPER Qualification Counselling.... currently i m working with CDSCO............ so suggest me..is there any scope of MS pharm in india... or i shud hv to left NIPER seat and go for M.pharm from any other college...

i dont knw dat who is not aware of NIPER in India. If one is getting admission in NIPER even after so much of work experience then one should not leave such opportunity. In place of submitting resignation in your office of CDSCO you should apply either for study leave or you should take a study break of two years from your organisation. There is a lot of scope after M.S.Pharm./M.Pharm. from NIPER. Distinguished reults and alumni are there all over the world. Please google for the same to get to know more.

Dr. Pushpa... I am here to inform you that this is not the same thing. MS[pharma] stands for master of sciences and the MS which is pursued after MBBS is master of surgery. Both are qualified by different entrance exams GPAT and NEET PG respectively and have different eligibility criteria.
