i want to do my mtech degree fron bits,pilani but as my gate result is not so very good ,how else i can be able to get admission in bits,pilani

you have to appear for entrance exam conducted by bits pilani.......the forms are available for online submission on the official site of it that is www.bitsadmission.com/

but now the form submission process is over......so if you have not applied till now you have to wait for the next year.......or you can apply for some other engineering exams also.........

dear friend,
if you have not score good in GATE then also you may get admission in other colleges for M.Tech such as BITS as it takes its own exam for the admission.
if you qualify it then you are eligible.

because if you have any quota then you are sure of getting rank

I'm B.E in IT and wish to appear for the entrance exam of BITS Pilani for M.E. But as I see in the 'details for online test' on their website, its written-

'For Ex: Students with a B.E./B.Tech degree in IT area will be eligible only to apply for M.E. Software Systems
and also may need some specific prior preparation.'

So a I can't apply for Computer Science? Also can you clarify about what specific prior preparation are they talking about. I'm so confused!!

There ar etwo modes of Admission for ME dergee at BITS.

1) Through GATE: Candidate has to score well in GATE at least 550 along with at least 94 percentile in GATE.

2) BITS conducts it own entrance for providing Admission into ME courses.The entrance is three hours Online entrance conducted at all its designated centres across India.

Registration for the year 2010 has been going on and the last date for online registration 31.05.10

Since you are from OBC community and also have scored 90 percentile along with 385 in GATE, you will be able to get into NIT's.

For NIT's for a general candidate at least 400 + score in GAtE is required but you are from OBC category so there are exceptions for you. But remember you must be OBC (Non- Creamy layer).

hey friend,don't worry if you dont score well in the GATE exam............BITS institute conduct a entrance exam in the month of may for the admission in various courses.......so just fill up the form and start preparing for it..........

the form can be fill up online on the official site of BITS institute.........

without having good GATE score you can get admission in M.Tech through sponsorship. In this mode your employer will recommend you on the basisi of your performance in your company.

If your score is 482 , AIR is 2158, then I can expect that your Percentile in Gate will be also greater then 80%. And if so then you can get into NIT's. But if your percentile is less then 80% then you can not expect NIT's.

Sorry to say dear but at least 96% GATE Percentaile is required for getting into BITS.

yes you can take admission in the bits pillani without the gate score ...
it will also take admission for the m.tech through its own entrance exam with is conducted by it own..
and after qualifyingf in the exam...you can take admission...
