It includes aspects and features of linguistic behavior (human, non-human, verbal, non-verbal, communiqué, features, language, mind, society, linguistics variability, writing and speech), linguistic systems (organization of sounds, sentence structure, universal grammar concepts, structure and nature of meaning, concepts in morphology, phonology, semantics and synyax), Linguistic systems and texts (organization, oral & written, classroom discourse, story, poem and essay structure,), languages of india (multilingualism).

Paper Pattern: Candidate will be given a question paper containing 5 questions. All of them should be answered. The Questions 1,2,3,4,5 carries 9,8,6,4,8 marks respectively.

Time allotted and Maximum Marks: For 35 marks, candidates are given a total of 2 hours.

Key Points: There is an ample scope for the generalized and opinion oriented questions to appear. Candidate must be ready with appropriate examples for every topic. Grammar corrections may be asked. They should be backed up with appropriate reasons for their errors.
