I am a 3rd year btech student . Can a btech 3rd year student is elligible for giving gate examination in gate 2013? If not, why?

i hv completed B-tech electronics from YCMOU nashik university can i eligible for GATE

Hi Friend,

According to 3 years back rule 3rd year students can also give Gate exam.
Due to which final years students are loosing there ranks so, government has decided to keep GATE exam only for Final year students of B.tech
So, dear friend you cannot give GATE exam in 2nd or 3rd year.
But you can prepare well from 3rd year only for GATE exam, it will help you to get good marks in it.

No, a 3rd year student is not considered to be eligible for appearing gate.
Previously, it was allowed even for a 3rd year student to give the gate exam. But from the year 2012onwards, the third year students are restricted to give the gate exam. But the score card is still valid for two years. No change is been made in this section.

Eligibility For GATE

GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is conducted every year for admissions to M.Tech courses in IITs,NITs, BITS Pilani, IISc Bangalore and a few other prominent institutions..

A candidate can appear for GATE only if :-

>> The candidate is either a final year student of B.E/B.Tech from a recognized institute or must have already graduated..

>> Candidates from final year M.Sc. or Dual degree can also appear for the exam..

Note :- There is no age limit or restriction on number of attempts for appearing in GATE..

Also, from GATE 2012..pre-final year students or third year students are not allowed to appear for the exam..only final year students are eligible for the exam..

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. This exam is jointly conducted by the seven Indian Institute of Technology and by the Indian Institute of Science.

GATE examination is conducted by the management of IIT college for the admission in the M.Tech course in maximum no of colleges.

If you have Bachelor degree in engineering/Technology/Architecture OR
Master degree holder in any branch of science/mathematics/statics/computer application then you are applicable for GATE Exam.

The final year student are eligible to apply for GATE examination.There are no age limit and no. of attempt in the GATE examination.

You are pre final year of B-Tech degree so you are not applicable for GATE exam because this rule in notified by IIT after 2009 .

yes,B.TECh 3rd year student is obiously elligible to give GATE papers.
for this you should be in the 7th semester.
since we can attempt GATE only for two times.
so,first attempt is during last sem of 3rd year (7th semester).
and last attempt is after completing 8th semester.
that is alongwith 4th year.

also,GATE exam form are out in DECEMBER and exams are held in FEB and MARCH.

NO, BTECH third year studnt cannot aply for the GATE exams that are scheduled for 20th January 2013 and 10th February 2013.

Since you are in the Third year , so you can apply for the GATE exams that will be held in januray 2014

After passing GAET exams you need to apply for ME/MTECH programme or apply to PSU for jobs.

in both cases only thse candidates who apss their BE/BTECH can apply
So thats why 3rd year student has not been allowed toa ppear in these exams

IBPS conducts exams on behalf of 20 nationalised banks.
It conducts exams like Clerical Exam,Bank PO Exams,Rural
Bank Exams,Specialist Officer Exam,etc.

Eligibility For BANK PO EXAMS :-

Min Educational qualification is Graduation Pass with Minimum 60% marks
Age should be between 21 and 30 years
OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations

Since you are in your 3rd yr of B.tech you cannot apply now.
After finising your Degree in B.tech you can apply to PO Exams.

Sorry to say that a B.Tech 3rd year student cannot be eligible to give GATE examination.

GATE examination is conducted by the Indian Institute of Science and the Seven Indian Institute of Technology.

The eligibility criteria for this examination is prescribed as below:-

* Graduate in any stream from any recognised college or university.

* Post graduate in any stream from any recognised college or university.

* There is no age limit or no of attempts in this examination.

No only final year student can give GATE
student of second and third year are not eligible to give GATE

If you want to apply you can apply in final year of engineering course.

You can apply in 2014..

No, a third year B.Tech. Graduate is not eligible for GATE now a days which was possible earlier.

GATE - Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, is an entrance exam conducted by Indian Institute of Technology and Indian Institute of Science for admission to M.Tech. courses in IITs, NITs etc.
