Re: Is Arts subject good for IELTS?
No, IELTS is not related to any subject or stream. It is a standardised test which helps you to prove your English Language Proficiency skills in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking sections. This examination is mostly taken by candidates who wish to pursue their higher studies in foreign countries. The validity of IELTS examination score is 2 years.

Re: Is Arts subject good for IELTS?
While I don't think that anything is "bad" for the IELTS, or that it's not a fair test of English skills, arts subjects are probably the least likely to be tested on. You are more likely to encounter an ARTS question in the Writing part of the test than you are in the listening or reading sections.
The speaking and writing tests also require good comprehension and vocabulary knowledge as do most other subjects (except perhaps maths!) The best way to find out what will appear on your exam is to look at past papers. The IELTS general training test is designed for those planning to undertake non-specialist study or employment in an English-speaking environment. Taking arts subjects at school is not the best way to prepare for an IELTS general training exam.In order to get a high score in the IELTS speaking component, you will need to be able to speak fluently about topics related to your country's culture, as well as current affairs and society. That is why it is important for students who want a high band score in the speaking component of an IELTS examination to take part in extracurricular activities during secondary school, such as public speaking competitions and debating clubs. |

There is no percentage criteria required to appear for IELTS Exam. Its english language proficiency test which is mainly conducted to get admission in foreign university. Minimum of 6 to 6.5 bands are accepted in foreign universities . Thus one must have good score to get admission in top tier universities. |

Re: Is Arts subject good for IELTS?
IELTS can be done by any individual above 16 years of age. The IELTS certification is valid for two years from the date of exam was taken. As known IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is the most popular English language proficiency test either for study abroad or migration purpose.
After 12th with arts stream, when you plan to get enrolled in a foreign university/college, ensure all necessary details properly are considered at initial stage like Country of preference, University/college research, course availability, fund arrangement and accommodation details along with visa formalities being clearly noted. Once preliminary details are considered, accordingly, you can prepare then for IELTS and appear for examination at your confident time. As stated earlier, the certification is valid for two years , ensure your foreign education planning is well enough to put in practice once IELTS certificate is received in hand. |
