Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida
Spread over a campus of 511 acres the Gautam Buddha University in Greater Noida was started in the year 2008. The first session started in 2008, August. The university offers studies for students who have done their graduation and offers post-graduation courses under various areas. The university was named after Gautam Buddha. The campus is located south east of New Delhi.
The Gautam Buddha University offers Post-Graduate and Doctoral Programmes for the students. The 4 schools their include The School of Biotechnology, The school of mgmt. studies, The school of humanities & social sciences, The school of information & communication technology (ICT).
The eligibility for M. Tech. (ICT) is that the student must have done a three year degree course in science with mathematics as a subject and must have secured at least 55% marks in the course. The SC/ST candidates are relaxed by 10% for the marks. The eligibility for M. Tech. (Biotech) is that the student must have done a three year degree course in science/ Agriculture science/ veterinary sciences from a university with same condition for marks. However the student must have biology at 10+2 level. The eligibility for MBA (HR, Finance, IT, Marketing, Strategy, Insurance, Retail, Operation etc.) is a three years degree course with at least 50% marks. Here also 10% marks are relaxed for the SC/ST candidates.
The students can apply by filling up an application form available against a fee of Rs.1400/- by hand for General and OBC candidates and for a fee of Rs.700/- for SC/ST candidates. The form can be obtained by a written request to The admission Office, Gautam Buddha University (GBU), Greater Noida for an additional amount of Rs.100/-. The form can also be downloaded from the University’s Website.
The Gautam Buddha University or the GBU has hostel facility for around 5000 students and it also offers On-Campus Hostel or residential facility for married & graduate students. The GBU also offers housing facility for staff and workers there.
