Giani Zail Singh College of Engineering is an autonomous institution established by the Government of Punjab in 1989. Giani Zail Singh College of Engineering is approved by AICTE and COA to provide various Engineering courses to the aspiring candidates. Institute is affiliated to Punjab Technical University and is inviting all the eligible candidates for admission into B.Arch course (2011).

The institute is one of the reputed and excellent institutes for providing quality education to the aspirants. Initially the institute was established as a Government Engineering College and after getting some interval of time it was converted into an Autonomous institute in the year 1992. It is affiliated to the Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar and follows the academic programs of the institute. The Academic Session of the institute is divided into two Semester July/ August to December and January to June/July. The University takes its exam at the end of the Semester.

The institute offers B.Tech Degrees in various Disciplines like Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Applied Science. Eligibility Criteria:

• The candidates who are 10+2 with 50% marks with Math’s and English as subjects or 3 year diploma recognized by Centre/ State Govt. with 50% marks, along with pass in NATA test are considered eligible for this course.

• Admission into first year shall be done through manual counseling.

• The students may deposit the counseling fees of Rs 2500 /- on the spot to participate in the counseling
