To fill the BHU B.A. (Hons.) Arts entrance exam form, candidates have to download the application from the official website of the Banaras Hindu University. The same can be purchased from the Office of the Director, Institute of Arts, Banaras Hindu University on payment of Rs.100. The candidate can get application form through post by paying the application fee through DD. The DD must be sent along with a self addressed envelope. After filling it completely it must be sent to the Institute of Arts, Banaras Hindu University,Varanasi – 221005. Candidates those who belong to the general category have to pay an amount of Rs.1600/- as the application fees. The SC/ST candidates can procure the application forms at a cost of Rs 1000/-.

Instructions to be followed for filling in form

• The candidates have to take extra care in filling up the application form.
• The candidate cannot make any changes once the application form has been submitted.
• Enter the details of the elective subjects and the exam centres on the space provided for the same.
• A candidate can appear for only one examination at a time.
• The candidates have to make sure that they have attached all the supporting documents before sending the application form.

Exemptions to be taken care while filling in form

There are certain exemptions. Candidates should be aware of these exemptions while filling up the application forms. They are as listed below.

The age of the candidate should be between 19 and 28 years at the time of applying to the course. Candidates those who belong to the SC/ST/OBC categories are given a relaxation in the age upto 5 years.

The physically challenged applicants are also given a relaxation in age.

Last date for receipt of applications

The application forms for the Banaras Hindu University B.A (Hons) Arts entrance examination should be submitted in the last week of January 2012. Those candidates who wish to change the examination centre should send the request letter for the same before the 18th of January, 2012.

Acknowledgement of exam application form

The Hindu Banaras University sends the admit cards soon after receiving the application forms. Usually the candidates receive the admit cards within a month. If the candidate doesn’t get the admit card, he has to get in touch with the Registrar/Coordinator of the Banaras Hindu University. In such case, the candidates have to submit the admission card along with two passport size photographs after getting it attested by a gazetted officer. If an application of a particular candidate has not been received by the University, it will be notified to the applicant through email.
